The Cincinnati Bearcats are 4-5 ATS as road favorites since 2011

Cincinnati has won back-to-back games, including a 41-16 victory over the Connecticut Huskies as 14.5-point home favorites on Oct. 19, while going OVER the betting total in each of those affairs.  The Bearcats are 12-18 all time in this series, including a 4-12 mark when playing in Memphis, which can’t be ignored when making your college football betting picks in Week 10.  The program has won 62 games since 2007, the most among current American Athletic Conference teams.  Cincinnati is 6-3 SU and 4-5 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 7-2 in that situation.

The Bearcats are eighth nationally in allowing just 286.9 yards per game, while their offense is led by quarterback Brendon Kay, who has completed 76 percent of his passes for 717 yards and nine touchdowns over his last 10 quarters of action.  Cincinnati is averaging 34.0 points and allowing just 17.6 during the 2013 campaign, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds page.  Kay’s main targets are wide receivers Anthony McClung and Shaq Washington, as the duo have caught 49 passes for 460 yards and three touchdowns in the last three games.

Memphis has lost three games in a row, including a 34-29 defeat to the SMU Mustangs as 3.5-point home favorites on Oct. 19, while going OVER the betting total for the first time this season.  Turnovers and penalties have proven costly for the Tigers this season, as the team has a -1.0 turnover margin, while averaging 8.33 flags and 80.00 penalty yards.  The last three meetings in this series have been decided by five or fewer points.  Memphis is 5-11 SU and 8-8 ATS at home since 2011, with the UNDER going 8-7-1 in those 16 opportunities.

The Tigers will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak in games played on days of the week other than Saturday.  Memphis is playing its first game on either ESPN or ESPN2 since losing at home to East Carolina in 2009.  Heading into this affair, defensive end Martin Ifedi leads the country in quarterback sacks with a 1.3 per game average, while he sits behind just two players in tackles for loss.

Sports bettors will likely back the Tigers due to their 14-4 ATS mark at home versus a team with a winning road record.
