Georgia has won 17 of its last 18 games against Vanderbilt, as it looks to bounce back from a 41-26 setback to the Missouri Tigers as 6.5-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a sixth consecutive contest to start the season.  The Bulldogs are minus-four in turnover margin this year, which ranks 14th in the SEC and 103rd nationally, which can’t be ignored when making your college football betting picks.  Georgia is 5-1 SUATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-2 in that situation.

The Bulldogs have played 14 true freshman this season, which is tied for third nationally for the most in that particular category—behind only the Texas A&M Aggies and UCLA Bruins.  Georgia is led offensively by the play of quarterback Aaron Murray, who has thrown 88 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in his 32 career wins, while he’s the SEC’s all-time leader in passing yards.  With injuries bothering Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall, the program has relied heavily on the play of freshmen tailbacks J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas.

Vanderbilt owns an 11-4 overall record since last playing Saturday’s opponent, as it also looks to bounce back from a loss to Missouri on Oct. 5, while going OVER the betting total in two consecutive contests.  The Commodores offensive point production through six games ranks favorably with the highest season averages in team history, which is hard to ignored when looking over the college football betting lines in Week 8.  Through six games, the team ranks sixth in the conference with a 33.7-point scoring average.  Vanderbilt is 4-12 SU and 9-7 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 10-6 in those 16 opportunities.

The Commodores have lost their last five games on CBS, with each of those being played on the road—the last one coming in 2001.  Vanderbilt trails 18-53-2 in the series against Georgia, with two of the last three games played in Nashville being decided by five points or less.  Senior wide receiver Jordan Matthews is the main player to watch offensively, as he’s caught 197 passes in his career—setting third in school history in that statistical category.

Sports bettors will likely back the Commodores due to their 13-6 ATS mark in their last 19 home games.
