Louisville improved to 4-0 and sits ranked No. 7 in the nation following a 72-0 victory over lowly Florida International. While Temple may not fall quite as horrendously this week, Louisville is still a 32 point favorite on the road against an Owls squad that is winless in 2013.

Teddy Bridgewater has cemented himself as a high pick in the 2013 NFL draft, and the 6’3″ junior has an astounding 204.7 QB rating. Bridgewater has thrown 71.8 percent for completion, which ranks even higher than his 68.5 percent clip last season.

Senorise Perry has done a good job moving the ball and has 44 carries for 245 yards (5.6 yards per carry). The Cardinals also have featured Dominique Brown and Michael Dyer, who combine for an additional 341 yards. Bridgewater’s main targets have racked up yardage too. DeVante Parker has 331 receiving yards on the year and four other Cardinals WRs have at least 150 yards on the year.

The dual threat offense should devastate a weak Temple defense that has given up 26.5 points per game this season (71st in the nation). What’s even more problematic for Temple is that this is the first game since the 28-6 defeat against Notre Dame that they’ve faced a major offense and if the likes of Fordham can put up 30, Louisville has a chance of putting up some major scoring numbers in this game. College football oddsmakers set the over/under at 58.

Temple’s Connor Reilly has been mildly effective this season, throwing for 52.5 percent completion ratio with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. The Owls feature two backs with 200-plus rushing yards, and Kenneth Harper has six TDs on the year. It’s unlikely that having a decent offense is enough to do more than get blown out this week, though.
