I’m interested in the following games:
August 30 Buffalo University visits Rutgers. This should be am easy win for the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers, with the spread ranging from 30.5 to 32. Rutgers wants to make a point, which is mainly that last season was not a fluke. No O/U on this one as of now.
Georgia Tech visits Notre Dame on September 1 with the Bulldogs being given 2.5 points by odd makers. Tough game, considering the potential that GT has, the home field advantage that ND enjoys and ND’s loss of Brady Quinn to the NFL. Anyone like Georgia here? The O/U is between 44 and 44.5. I prefer the half-point O/U because there is no push, but that’s a personal preference.
The September 1 match-up that has Tennessee visiting California is why premium picks and expert advice were created. The Bears of California are favored by six points and they are at home. The problem is that both of these teams are tough to pin down. The O/U is 51.
Wake Forest visits Boston College on September 1, with the BC Eagles being favored by 6 to 6.5 points over the Demon Deacons. The O/U is between 42 and 42.5 points. This is a tough game due to the fact that some folks feel that BC can be a topnotch club this season, while others see them as also-rans. The same is true of Wake Forest.
USC plays Idaho and the Trojans are at home with an edge ranging from 45 to 45.5 points. There is no O/U at this point on this September 1 contest. USC cannot lose. 45 points is quite an edge, then again the Trojans have Heisman Trophy candidate John David Booty at QB and a bunch of fine receivers. USC wants to establish themselves as the preeminent college football team in the nation. They will run up points as much as they can.
Those are five of the premiere NCAA football games that start the season. Check out live odds, free picks and free college football previews and premium picks at https://www.madduxsports.com/.
