Here are some things to look at when you’re considering the upcoming NFL season.Cleveland Browns: They now have QB Brady Quinn. Can the former Notre Dame star shine in the NFL? I think that this kid can. He’s smart, athletic and is driven. As he improves and performs so too does this team. With Romeo Crennel (former ND coach Charlie Weiss associate through the Pats) as his coach he has a good chance.
Baltimore Ravens: The team now has star RB Willis McGahee, which means Baltimore possesses that game-breaking runner they’ve needed. But losing star LB Adalius Thomas to the Pats will hurt this team on the other end of the ball.
Oakland Raiders: Randy Moss is gone to the Pats (will that help or hurt New England?), while the Raiders managed to draft a fine athelete and smart player—JaMarcus Russel. RB Michael Bush could also be a huge help.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Bill Cower is gone. This is probably good. Mike Tomlin comes in as the new coach with a fine track record. Some new linebackers may prove to be helpful but still QB Big Ben must come through. How’s his confidence?
Indianapolis Colts: Peyton Manning may be doing more running away and fast releases than he has in the past with the retirement of premier offensive LT Tarik Glenn. Plus a total of five defensive starters are gone! Ouch!
New England Patriots: LB Adalius Thomas has been added, which is great along with some excellent receivers. But what about holdout and defensive standout Asante Samuel?
Atlanta Falcons: Michael Vick—what else can you say?
