The Cleveland Browns won a coin flip this morning, giving them the right to select ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2007 NFL draft. Both clubs had identical records of 4-12 last year. The normal deciding factor determining draft order if both clubs have identical records, is opponents winning percentage, which just happened to be a tie as well. Tampa Bay GM Bruce Allen called heads and the coin landed tails, hasn’t Allen ever head the saying “tails never fails”?
Tampa Bay will now select 4th in the draft, while Cleveland gets to select 3rd via the coin toss win. Remember to visit Maddux sports for 2007 NFL draft coverage including mock drafts, team needs, and player rankings.
