The Fighting Irish are favored by only 6 points against the Wolverines this week! That’s hard to believe considering how handily Notre Dame beat another Big 10 team– Penn State– the week before.
A few other things to consider in the match-up include the fact that Michigan had a tough first half against Vanderbilt in week one, and it’s been 7 years since the Wolverines won a road opener.
Although the Irish offense had a tough time in their opener against Georgia Tech, their game really picked up against the Nittany Lions. Against Penn State, QB Brady Quinn was 25 of 36, passing for 287 yards and three TDs. The Wolverines have lost three of the past four contests against ND, but are 18-14-1 all-time.
With home turf, an improved defense and an offense that’s really starting to churn– I’m thinking Notre Dame looks pretty good.
