Last year most experts predicted the Hokies would finish towards the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Beamer and his team proved the experts wrong by winning 9 ball games including upsetting Miami in the Orange Bowl to win the ACC crown. This year Virginia Tech returns 13 starters from their ACC championship team. Virginia Tech may not have the best offensive line, secondary, running backs, etc. etc. in the ACC, but they have quality at every position and there are no weaknesses on the Hokies football team. They do have in our view the best coach in Frank Beamer and the best special teams in the ACC. This will be Marcus Vicks first year as a starter. Vick doesn't have to play as good as his brother, but if he can avoid off the field trouble and use his infinite natural talent, the Hokies will win the Coastal Division and are capable of a national championship run.
