Oregon under achieved big time last year, posting a 5-6 record, while missing out on a bowl game for the first time in 7 years. There were problems on both sides on the ball in 2004, and it looks like the Ducks have plugged some of those holes this year. In the off-season, the Oregon Ducks hired a new offensive coordinator, Gary Crowton to help supercharge the offense which had become sluggish last year. Oregon will make a change from their traditional West Coast offense to a spread offense scheme. With Crowton at the helm we expect these changes to prove to be beneficial, without taking much time for the Ducks players to absorb. The defense has some questions marks, particularly in the Line backing core, but the line may be the best in the conference. The Ducks do have a softer non conference schedule, which should give them confidence heading into Pac 10 play. All in all we expect 7-8 wins and a trip back to the postseason, even if just to a lower level bowl.
