The first year for Ron Zook in Champaign could be a long one. He replaces Ron Turner who left the talent cupboard dry. Illinois returns 12 starters from last years 3-8 squad only 4 of which are seniors in 2005. The fighting Illini will also be learning a new offensive scheme under Zook so we are not anticipating vast improvements out of Illinois football this year, but like we said in the Big 10 predictions page, we expect to see Illinois be a respectable football program under Zooks leadership in the coming years.
